Fence Washing
Fences need to be washed regularly to maintain their integrity, prevent bugs & harmful vegetation, and improve curb appeal. Wood fences and vinyl fences can't be pressure washed due to potential damage, and metal fences can usually simply be rinsed off. Pricing varies depending on the linear footage of the fence installation and the level of grime. Read below for more details.
Vinyl Fence Washing
Vinyl fences attract more bugs than other materials due to their bright white color. White vinyl fences also display dirt and algae more than other colors. What starts as algae & lichen expands into moss & weeds, which start growing out of the baseboards and slats of the fence. High pressure can cause damage on vinyl with etching and scratching, so a strong softwash mixture is used. Vinyl fences are treated with the strong cleaning solution to dissolve any hard water stains & dirt, and kill any harmful vegetation such as algae, lichen, moss, or weeds. Then a low pressure rinse is used to clean everything off. The end result is a bright and sparkling fence that's free of any grime.
Wood Fence Washing
Wood fences weather quickly over time, and in especially lush yards they attract mold, algae, and other harmful vegetation. Since regular pressure washing damages the wood, a gentler softwash needs to be used to properly clean them. To prevent damaging the lignin and wood fibers, a light cleaning solution is applied then rinsed off with low pressure. This mixture quickly absorbs into the wood and kills harmful microbiota such as mold, algae, and lichen. The low pressure rinse washes everything away. The result is a much lighter colored and cleaner fence that you wouldn't be afraid to put your hand on.
